I’ve driven by this location every day for about 3 years of my life, but never stopped to walk around. When this mom called me to schedule a session to capture some updated modeling headshots for her kids, this location came to mind. I stopped by the day before to explore, and knew immediately that it would be perfect for our session. Mom was in charge of styling, and she did a great job! She went through the kids’ wardrobes and selected outfits that blended well with each other, and even knew which ones to put on for the various backgrounds we were to be shooting with, and re-styled Sabrina’s hair too. She did so well, I may have to call on her for future session styling! And Ethan and Sabrina were a pleasure to work with! Ethan and Sabrina accepted my gentle guidance in front of the camera, while making it their own and letting their personalities shine through. I really couldn’t have asked for a better session, and the results speak for themselves!

Lisa & Matt’s Rehearsal Dinner
Lisa and Matt tied the knot last weekend preceded by an intimate dinner with close family and friends. The bridal party toasted this couple of many nicknames with stories invoking laughter and tears from the guests. After dinner, they braved the wind on the rooftop for a cocktail hour joined by a larger crowd of family and friends. What a warm and welcoming start to their wedding weekend!

Stacie’s Bridal Shower
Last weekend, Stacie celebrated her bridal shower with a lovely brunch at GG’s Waterfront Bar and Grill on the Intracoastal in Hollywood, FL. They had a great time showering this bride to be with love and friendship, and played some of the most creative shower games I’ve been privy to! They played hot potato with a banana, played a “multi-tasking wife” game which involved putting on pantyhose while wearing potholders, and had a race involving baseball bats and balloons. The decorations were DIY by the bride to be, and I think she did a fabulous job! I wish the bride only the best at her upcoming wedding, and a lifetime of happiness with her groom!

Gigi’s Extended Family
Gigi contacted me to take some photographs of her extended family. We had discussed that there would be several families spanning several generations, but didn’t really go into the details. When everyone arrived, we started shooting, without much introduction, as it was late by then, and we were battling a quickly dimming sun on an evening that had been under a constant drizzle of rain only moments before. Once we got warmed up, it was a complete photo free-for-all, and various groups of family members were assembling for various combinations of portraits, and calling out for me to capture them. They also got creative, ‘posing’ for candids, and asking me to capture them as they really are. I love to have an enthusiastic crowd, and this family did not disappoint!

Tatiana’s Bridal Shower
This lovely bride celebrated her upcoming wedding with family and friends at the lovely Edge Steak and Bar on the 7th floor terrace of the Four Seasons Hotel in Brickell. It’s very Miami. The weather was windy and drizzly, but the light out on the terrace was just lovely for taking photos, which was an activity highlight for the guests, as you can see. After their meal, they took the party indoors to escape the elements, have some dessert, and play some games. Games included toilet paper bridal gowns, and guessing which of the students in Ms. Moise’s 3rd Grade class are Tatiana and Mike, the bride and groom to be!
