Siblings and Cousins Photo Session at Wynwood Walls
I had the pleasure of photographing some of these siblings for this incredible Harry Potter themed session, so when Jenna messaged me to schedule a session since another sibling would be visiting from out of town, I knew the hip art of the Wynwood Walls area would be the perfect location for this cool bunch. I suggested they dress ‘street’, and they pulled off the look perfectly, both in their dress and in their interactions during our session! With such a large group, by the time we all found parking in the busy area and got together, it had started getting dark out, which means we got to finish our session with some fun night portraits, always a favorite of mine!

Lori, Jake, Eli, and Lily
This mom and I have a bajillion mutual friends on social media and have talked on and off about scheduling a photo session for the last year or so. A few weeks ago, after seeing me photograph yet another mutual friend, she finally decided she was ready to schedule her family’s session. Lori also confessed that the reason she had hesitated is because she was concerned her chaotic family wouldn’t do well with a portrait session and thus it wouldn’t be worth their while. I said, great! Let’s do it! I love chaos, bring it on! We spent a good deal of time chatting and strategizing beforehand, and on the day of, this mom took the lead with regards to just letting go and having fun with her family, and IT WAS MAGICAL!!!
Lifestyle photography is really organized chaos. It’s not just running wild, because that would have everyone all over the frame and would not make for pleasing composition. It’s about connecting, creating moments, and letting those moments of connection evolve. When that happens, I just sit back and capture So You!

About
ABOUT ME:
My photography career started out with me as that family member / friend who can be trusted to take the photos you want sent to you after an event. After capturing many special moments, I realized I wanted to share this passion beyond family and friends. My full time job is in Project Management and Quality for Medical Devices, but when I'm not working, I always love to capture a special moment in a photo.
I'm laid back, fun to work with, and will make you laugh (I do want photos of you smiling). When I'm not working, taking, or editing photos, I like to attend boot camp classes, yoga classes, swim, read, and sew (you will find some Sew You by Erica Sue posts on the blog too).
I am available for any type of event photography from birthday parties and baby/bridal showers to rehearsal dinners, corporate events, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Quinces, and Weddings. I also capture family, newborn, maternity, engagement, corporate, and senior portraits. Interested in capturing other moments or events not listed? Contact me, and we'll figure it out.
My goal as a photographer is to capture the images that will stay with you long after you've stopped looking at them.
ABOUT MY LOCATION:
I'm located in Davie, FL, and photograph in the surrounding areas in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. See Pricing page for details.
ABOUT YOUR SESSION:
I'm often asked, "what should we wear?". See here for my Pinterest board to get you started.
As for what to expect during your session, see this article, as it describes what I'm trying to accomplish behind the lens and how you as parents can work with me to create the images that are So You!

Lucas’ First Birthday Party
Lucas celebrated his first birthday a few weeks ago with some real New York Style! Mom thought of every detail in the decorations! The walls were decorated with a skyline, while the tables were decorated like the Subway lines, the cups and gift bags were NY Subway maps, and the photo holders were little taxi cabs! No detail was left unnoticed, as the guests enjoyed cookies decorated like hot dogs with all the trimmings, pretzels, and ‘big apples’. The children and their parents enjoyed a music class, followed by Lunch, which went along with the theme as well, with bagels and pizza available. Lucas enjoyed his cake, which he lovingly shared, to conclude this sweet morning!
