We’re all aware of the passage of time. Me more than most. It’s part of why I chose photography. I say, “I can freeze time. What’s your superpower?” And yet, I’m still amazed at how quickly time flies. It feels like we just did big sister’s mitzvah, and the next is already here! It’s always an honor when I get to capture moments for families. And I think Ferris Bueller said it best, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
I’ve had the honor and privilege and joy and fun of capturing this family of 5 since they were a family of 4, and watching and documenting their growth always results in beauty and laughs! Eli is getting ready to celebrate his Bar Mitzvah this fall, so we explored one of my favorite South Florida neighborhoods together to commemorate this milestone. I can’t wait to celebrate!
Violet will be celebrating her Bat Mitzvah this fall, and we kicked off the season with a pre-shoot at a local park. She wanted to be photographed in nature, and I absolutely love how her fashion choice went with the setting. We had a lot of fun creating together, and it shows in the images I was able to capture! That’s what a ‘So You’ photo session is all about!
What fun getting to know this family and capture their joy as we explored the beautiful and colorful Wynwood art. They are getting ready to celebrate this lovely lady’s Bat Mitzvah in a few weeks, and I can’t wait!!
Wynwood has been one of my favorite locations to take photos for several years. The bright colors make me happy. And I think they do the same for my subjects. When we explore, everyone is inspired by the beautiful art and the joy of the search for the next beautiful wall. We are having fun, and it shows in the photos we create together!
