It’s great getting to photograph families on a regular basis. You get to watch them grow, and you also grow in your relationship as photographer and subject. The subjects become comfortable in front of the camera with you behind it, and the moments you get to capture become more magical. Wynwood was a perfect location for this family, and we had a great time exploring the area. I look forward to seeing where our adventures will take us next year!

Brenda, Brian, Madison, and Kaylee at Wynwood Walls
This was the first of three wonderful sessions at Wynwood Walls this weekend. It’s such a fun area to visit, and the outdoor art exploration tends to bring out a family’s personality. So the result is beautiful photos both because of the lovely, colorful backgrounds, and the pure joy on the faces of those enjoying them. This family was no exception, and I just love these images!

Rooney, Michael, and Jackson are almost 4
I have several mutual friends with this family, so I was delighted when they called me to schedule their maternity session. Maternity sessions with a couple expecting a first baby are always special, but I especially love new sibling maternity sessions! It’s so much fun to capture some of their last moments as a family of 3 before a new little one turns an only child into a big brother! And with all the joy and love between these three, there is plenty waiting for the baby boy to come!

Bella’s First Birthday Party
After a successful cake smash session the week before, I got this little lady in front of my camera again at her first birthday party! Mom went ALL OUT with an adorably executed Cheerios theme! There was a Happy Birthday bunting, Cheerio boxes as balloon holders, Cheerios as a clothesline for Bella’s monthly photos, a Cheerio cereal bar, a larger than life Cheerios box photo booth, Cheerios ‘rice krispie treats’, Cheerio cakes, and many other red and yellow details that you’ll have to see the photos to catch! And Bella’s personalized outfit was absolutely perfect with Cheerios and milk!

Alexa’s Bat Mitzvah
Alexa celebrated her Bat Mitzvah this past weekend. As photography is not part of the Shabbat ritual at Temple Sinai of Hollywood, we captured portraits in the synagogue the week before, followed by her celebration at the Embassy Suites in Ft Lauderdale. The celebration included pink table decorations, personalized m&ms, a green screen, a photo montage, and plenty of dancing. Alexa, it was a pleasure photographing your calm, friendly, and poised disposition, and I’ll see you around at synagogue!
