Nathan celebrated his Bar Mitzvah with a Shabbat morning service, followed by a brunch. Since photos during the service were not allowed, and most people don’t want pictures of themselves eating, we spent some time before his mitzvah capturing some portraits with his family, tallis, and Torah. And since it was a beautiful day in sunny South Florida, we got in a few nice outside photos too. And don’t you just love how mom coordinated the pink and blue in their wardrobe? Mazal Tov to Nathan and his family!
Jessica, Justin, and Daniella welcome Graham! | Lifestyle Newborn Photography
I have known this mama since she was a child and besties with my first cousin growing up. And as I got older, I even babysat her and her younger sister! Miami’s been sad since she moved away in High School, but she’s kept in touch with all her old peeps, and everyone was so excited when she moved back for a work assignment with her family of 3 and even more so when they became a family of 4! Daniella is a great big sister who’s full of personality, and we had so much fun during our session! She is talkative, friendly, independent, and laughs and smiles so easily! I hope to photograph this family again before they move away, and whenever they come to town to visit!!
Kacie’s Bat Mitzvah
Kacie celebrated her Bat Mitzvah on a Friday evening with gorgeous light, so of course we had to take advantage of that for her pre-service portraits! She was also observing her service on the construction site of their new synagogue building, so we used that too to create some creative portraits of the Mitzvah girl! She partied with her friends and family in a hip Sunday night party with a neon lounge feel. Everyone had a blast!
Rachael, Jonathan, and Stella Welcome Sonny
A few weeks after we celebrated this beautiful boy's bris, we met up again at their home to snuggle up and hang out with this delicious newborn. His big sis and parents are pretty cool, too!
Dylan’s Sporty Mitzvah Pre Shoot
Dylan celebrated his Bar Mitzvah this past weekend, so now that these gorgeous photos have been revealed to his family and friends, I get to share them with you here! Mom and I had put in some detailed strategizing prior to the session to ensure we’d have a location with all the right sports fields that wouldn’t be full of teams playing and would easily be able to represent the sports he most enjoys. The skies even threatened rain a few hours before, and I said no, it’s Florida, let’s give it a go, and I’m so glad we did! Dylan was relaxed in front of the camera and we took turns with him going along with my crazy ideas of how we could best capture his sports and me just capturing him doing his thing. His smile comes easily and naturally, so I’m extra glad we waited the extra few weeks to show off those post-braces pearly whites!
