Josh’s Bar Mitzvah pre shoot had me saying, how is it his turn already?! I photographed his big sisters Eli and Sasha, so being back with this family felt like picking up a story I’ve enjoyed for years. Regal Broward was the perfect setting, and the staff was so kind about letting us play in the space. A movie theater is already fun, but for Josh it felt like stepping into his own world.
We worked our way through the box office, concession area, hallway and then into the theater itself. The darkness inside gave us some great opportunities for creative play with light, and Josh was completely in his element. The whole vibe was energetic, playful and very him, the kind of pre shoot where every corner gives you something new to work with.
We wrapped with a popcorn throw, which was exactly the kind of chaos that makes these sessions unforgettable.
