Skarlen and Dennis’ Engagement Session

This adorable couple will be tying the knot next month, so we met at the park where they will be getting married so they could have some before and after photos at this spot.  Skarlen had told me she hates pictures of herself, so I was determined to create some images she would like. And Dennis really knows how to make her laugh (and apparently so do I), which led to some great smiles. I can't wait to see (and photograph) more of them on your wedding day!

Sophia’s First Communion

I had met Sophia's mom at another birthday party I photographed for a mutual friend, and was happy to receive a last minute phone call on Saturday asking if I'd be able to take some photographs after her daughter's communion the following morning. As it turned out, I did have a time slot available, so off to St David's church in Davie, FL I went.

Sophia was absolutely stunning, and seemed genuinely proud to have reached this milestone. She looked like a mini-bride! Mom, please call me in 20 years when she's a real bride - I'd love to photograph that too (although I hope to get your beautiful family in front of my camera again before that)! Congratulations!

Hannah and Olivia are 1!

I had the pleasure of taking holiday portraits of this family back in December, and got to see how much these identical twins, and their older brother have grown since then. We met at the park for some pretty spring portraits, and a cake smash. Some fun was had, a mess was made, and some great moments were captured. Enjoy, and happy mother's day! Olivia is in orange and pink.

Felisha and Jordan are getting married (again)

Let me start by saying, this session was AWESOME!!! This beautiful couple has been married for 5 years, and this fall will be doing so again at their church, followed by a celebration. So I suggested we get together for a photo shoot so we could get to know each other before the big day.

We met at Hollywood Beach, and took some creative shots with some of the architecture there, then headed out to the sand and waves for some nature shots. This couple is into music, so Jordan brought his guitar, and Felisha brought a mini piano to incorporate into the session.

Let me add that Jordan's romantic side just melts my heart! Not only did she get several serenades, Felisha also got not one, but TWO dips (both featured below), and they weren't sissy, let me appease my photographer dips. He was totally into it, and it was awesome. In the first he grabbed onto the structure for support, and in the second he took it all the way to the sand. Oh yeah, and when they got into the water at the end, I thought they were both going to go into the water, but he picked her up so she wouldn’t get wet.  How sweet is that?!  You rocked it, Jordan!!

I could totally go on, but I'll save some of my gushing for the wedding, which after this session, I'm looking forward to even more!

Christine and Jason’s Maternity Session: South Florida Maternity Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing Christine's beautiful baby shower a few weeks ago, and got to spend some more time with this couple for their maternity session. They are so excited to become a family of 3, and mom had some great props that we'll get to use in her newborn session when Makenzie arrives. I also loved her idea to do the first part of their shoot by the "I Love You" sign at Young at Art Children's Museum. Since it's down the street from my favorite park, I suggested we finish up our shoot there. Congrats, Christine and Jason - I wish you the best as you welcome your baby girl into the world!
