Bodytek Fitness in Davie, where I am a proud client, expanded their Davie studio to double its’ size. These photos are from the first class, and the reveal where clients walked into the studio for the first time. Class at Bodytek is always high-energy, while maintaining a family feel. Amy led an action-packed class, which gave me lots of photo opportunities to capture these ‘Tekers’ (as they are affectionately known) at their best, as they rotated through stations that included tire jumps, side hurdle jumps, rope waves, and kettle bell swings, just to name a few. And with the doors closed, I was able to create some interesting light. Congrats on the expansion, and I can’t wait to also share the photographs from the grand re-opening the following weekend!
My Life: Scoping out Photo Spots with my boys
Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve done a “My Life” post! When I get busy editing everyone else’s photos, mine often fall behind! Exploring new places has become a fun activity for my boys and I. Yesterday afternoon, we explored FAT Village in Downtown Ft Lauderdale for a photo shoot I had scheduled there later that evening. Click here to check out the evening's results!

Abby’s Bat Mitzvah Portraits
This lovely lady was Bat Mitzvah’d this summer in Israel, and will be celebrating here with her friends this fall. I love a good colorful backdrop for a photo shoot, and I had recently learned of an area in downtown Ft Lauderdale that fits the bill. So I asked Abby’s mom if they were up for this location, and they were. As it turned out, our experience was enhanced by an event that was taking place while we were there for our photo shoot. Not only did we get to experience the beautiful art outside, but all of the galleries in the area were open, as well as some street festival vendors! Abby is very photogenic, and we had a great evening together!

Pam’s Family Session
Pam and I were in the same prenatal yoga class with our babies who are now 6 (gasp)! Her family has grown, so she contacted me to take some updated photos. They were a big group, and it was hot out, but we stuck to the shade and had a great time. The kids started off by climbing a tree, which really got us off to a great start. After we got the big group shots, mom wanted a photo with each of her boys. I’m told this is a tradition of theirs. I’m absolutely in love with these shots. The lighting is amazing – the golden glow in mom’s hair makes me sigh, and the love between her and her boys is captured beautifully! I was also able to capture a few sweet newlywed moments between Pam and James! I hope you enjoy looking at these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Diana & Tom’s Engagement
This lovely couple will be celebrating the new year this January with their wedding! So we met yesterday at my favorite park to take their engagement pictures. We were going to be exploring a new part of the park that I’d checked out earlier in the day with my kids. I’ve been here to take tons of pictures, but had never ventured over to the green bridge before. It was a perfectly romantic and picturesque spot for this photo session! Diana was happy and easy-going, and Tom kept me on my toes, taking my directions literally. When I would say, ooh, that’s a great spot, stop right there, he would freeze. When we were on the bridge and I asked them to look towards the water, he looked towards the water on the opposite side of the bridge. He even cleverly popped his heel up for their waterfront kiss – gotcha (see below)! He had Diana and I laughing the entire time, and I’m looking forward to capturing more of their smiles next year!
