Agnieszka, Jon, Melina, Keila, and Benicio

I was both excited and a little nervous when mom called me to schedule another photo session with me, this time for Beni's first birthday.  You see, our first session together was amazing.  One of my favorites ever!  And when I'm going up against some of my own best work, that's a pretty high bar that I must at least meet or beat.  But, I needn't have worried.  This family gives me so much to capture!  They are themselves in front of the camera, and those are some of my favorite moments to freeze.

I also think this may be my first session ever where I didn't deliver 'The Grandma Shot', you know, the one you think you want to give to Grandma, with everyone looking and smiling at the camera.  And mom and I couldn't be happier with the results!  Because at the end of the day, I have photographed their faces, but instead of looking at me, they're enjoying each other, and that series of images tells a story of this family.

Dani's Bat Mitzvah

I've been lucky enough to photograph this family several times before their big day, so I know them to be loving and fun and totally photogenic, which gave me lots to look forward to!  We started the evening with some portraits at the gorgeous gardens of the country club where the event was to be held, followed by Friday night Shabbat evening services, which Dani led beautifully.  The celebration continued with games, wax hands, and an airbrush artist for the kids, and the evening concluded with the arrival of an ice cream truck, which we were able to take some really fun and creative photos with!!!  Mazel Tov to the entire K family on Dani's Bat Mitzvah, and I hope to see you all in front of my camera more as the girls grow!

Rachael, Jonathan, Stella, and Sonny

This family needs no introduction.  I have been photographing them since Stella was in mom's belly, and we always have a great time, and capture all the love and fun and personality!  Stella's expressions and disposition crack me up, and mom swears she's a mini-Rachael!  Sonny is pretty cute himself, and I can't wait to capture more of them as they grow!

Lauren, Manny, Amelia, and Archer with Miriam and Maya

What a special treat to be able to photograph this family!!  I know this mama from my time in college in New York, and we've been in touch on Facebook since.  This family of four was in town visiting Manny's family, and thought it would be nice to have family photos taken with Manny's sister and niece.  What a great idea, especially since it's been freezing and snowy in the Northeast where they live!!  I enjoyed being able to capture their loving, relaxed, playful fun.  And these little girl cousins - how sweet are they together?!  I think my head might have turned into the emoji with the hearts for eyes when I worked on these photos!

Coby's Bar Mitzvah

I had the pleasure of photographing my first Bar Mitzvah at Temple Judea in Palm Beach Gardens, FL this fall.  I absolutely fell in love with the spirituality of their Rabbi and Cantor and the service they lead, and couldn't wait until the service was over to gush over it to them.  So I was very excited when Cantor Alicia contacted me shortly after to see if I would be able to photograph her son's Bar Mitzvah.  Um, yes please!!!  The morning was filled with music and energy and Torah and positive words, followed by a kiddush brunch and some sweet treats.  Mazel Tov to this family, and I hope to share more musical Shabbats with you all!
