We’ve been planning this pre shoot for months, and ever since I heard this Bar Mitzvah boy was a swimmer, I was excited. Because that meant I got to combine two of my loves. Photography, and swimming! We started with some dry land portraits, and finished in the pool. Underwater portraiture is not for the faint of heart. You have to hold your breath, and in my case, try to submerge a camera in a case that floats, while being able to look through the viewfinder, and focus on a moving target, before your floating body also moves. But I was up for the challenge, and the reward was capturing So You portraits!
S Fam Lifestyle Family Photographer | Key Biscayne, Miami, FL
It was such a joy to see this family in front of my camera again, and capture these lovely girls as they grow. I first met them when little one was in mommy's belly! We shot these at the beach in close to full sun, which is not for the faint of heart, but I absolutely love them and think these images shine with light, inside and out!!
Emily's Bat Mitzvah | Parkland, FL Golf and Country Club Photographer
Emily celebrated her Bat Mitzvah Erev Thanksgiving (Jewish holidays start after sundown the night before, so why not Thanksgiving?)! What a beautiful way to kick off a weekend about gratitude and family than by sharing joy with family and friends. The weather was perfect for this outdoor event, and the lovely decor and theme pulled the whole thing together! This crew was all smiles from beginning to end, which is one of my favorite things to capture!
Liam's Bar Mitzvah | Temple Beth Orr Coral Springs, FL Photographer
It’s harder than usual to write about this mitzvah, because really, the photos speak for themselves. There was so much joy and love and laughter. I hope I’ve done it justice and that you can feel the beautiful light energy that was present in the room this Shabbat morning as Liam was called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah.
M's Bat Mitzvah Pre Shoot | Wynwood Walls Miami, FL Lifestyle Photographer
Fans and followers know I always say when you show me your you, that is where the magic happens. And this lady brought her you and then some! Exploring Wynwood is always an activity in itself, which is why I love the area so much. I think exploring naturally sparks joy. But M also brought her skateboard and some sidewalk chalk so we could capture her sporty side and her artsy side. Co-creating these images was so much fun, and I can’t wait to capture her mitzvah soon!
