Yay! Another Miami mitzvah this season! This mom and I grew up at the same synagogue, and I’m just having the best time getting to photograph the teens I grew up with having teenagers of their own!! After our synagogue portraits at Bet Shira, we celebrated at The 305 Club, and enjoyed their amazing lighting projections, and dancing with Pure Energy Entertainment!
Wynwood continues to be one of my favorite places to create photos with families, especially Bar and Bat Mitzvah portraits. I just love how the bright colorful art inspires us our photo art with these amazing backdrops! I always love to capture movement in a photo, and as a dancer, Dani definitely generated some fun movement!

It was such a pleasure to get to work with this family again! With two pre-shoots and two mitzvahs, lots of fun, memorable, magic moments were captured! It was an interesting time. Sammy’s Bar Mitzvah was the last one before everything shut down for the covid pandemic in March of 2020. And it was lovely to witness Rachel’s Bat Mitzvah as things are finally returning to normal. Rachel celebrated with a beautifully decorated Friends theme, and I hope I’ll get to see this family again, with or without my camera!!
Landon’s Bar Mitzvah was a night to remember! His service was held outside on the lawn on a beautiful Friday evening, with gorgeous South Florida winter weather, and lovely bistro lights as a backdrop! He has so much personality, I hope my camera was big enough to capture it all! From chugging Manischewitz kiddush wine, to challah muscles, to tearing it up on the dance floor with a like-minded crowd, this dude and his family and friends rocked all night long!
