Jackson’s Bar Mitzvah pre shoot at Wolf Lake Park was such a fun one, especially with his Lego theme. He brought his favorite sets, a mix of Star Wars and video‑game builds, and the video‑game ones actually moved, lit up and could be played. They added so much color and personality to the session, and it felt like we were photographing pieces of his world rather than just props.
It was also really sweet seeing how much big brother Logan has grown since his own Bar Mitzvah a few years ago. There’s something special about photographing siblings over time, watching their personalities evolve and seeing the family dynamic shift in the best ways. Jackson settled right in, and the Legos gave us endless ways to make the shoot feel playful and true to him.
I’m already looking forward to the main event next month. Pre shoots are always a great warm‑up, but this one felt like the perfect preview of what’s ahead. As a South Florida Bar Mitzvah photographer, I love creating sessions that feel personal, fun and full of meaning, and Jackson brought all of that with him.
