Desi's Mitzvah Pre-Shoot

This lovely lady celebrated her Bat Mitzvah this weekend!  A few weeks prior, we went down to the Wynwood Art District in Miami for some hip portraits.  Desi rocked her session, and her mitzvah on Saturday. While I work on those images, enjoy these from our time together!

Ryan's Bar Mitzvah

Ryan celebrated his Bar Mitzvah on a lovely, sunny morning surrounded by family.  He read the prayers and Torah like a champ, and then we even got to head back outside for a few more portraits.  The family celebrated his achievement of this milestone with a lovely brunch together following the service.  Enjoy these So You highlights from Ryan's special day!

B Families at Family Camp

If you're following along, you'll see that I recently posted the photos from our incredible time at Winter Break Family Camp. Well, there I am up in the beautiful GA mountains, which I of course see as an incredible background for family photo sessions. Here are the fun images we created of the two families who chose to capture their So You moments with me!

Ramah Darom Winter Break Family Camp 2016

A friend of mine from High School has been going to a local family camp for several years, and whenever she posts her pictures on Facebook, I say to myself, gosh, I’d really love to go to family camp!  So this winter, we did!  We joined about 40 other families from mostly the Southeastern United States (with a few from the Northeast and Canada) at Camp Ramah Darom in Georgia for 5 days and nights.  While we were there, we did activities as families, with just kids, and just adults.  We celebrated Hanukkah as a community and shared meals together.  And I got to participate as both a camper and as the photographer!  This dual role was challenging at times, but mostly fun.  I even got to teach a Photography 101 class!  Along the way, I (with the help of my husband when I was up on the ropes course) was able to capture lots of So You moments of our camp experience!

Kerry, Mike, Asher, and Miles: Hollywood Beach Family Photo Session

I worked with this mama for a few years and took her family photos at the beach 2 years ago when they first moved to Florida from Minnesota.  She proudly displayed the photos in her office, and it was finally time for an update for this year’s holiday session!  We met at the beach again, and lucked out with an absolutely gorgeous evening with one of the softest watercolor sunsets I’ve seen in a while.  And I absolutely LOVE that this family took my gentle guidance for play and genuinely interacted and enjoyed each other at their session.  It shows, and these images are SO YOU!
