Tanya, Spencer, McKenna, and Wyatt | Wynwood Walls Lifestyle Family Photo Session
This family was an absolute dream to photograph!!! Mom found me on INSTAGRAM!!! It only took 769 followers and 624 posts, and it finally happened! She moved here with her family to work at UM a few months ago, and is embracing the Miami life, which I so admire, since I’m a Miami girl, born and raised. She was quick to find that Wynwood is a hip place to explore, looks great in photos, and that I love to photograph families in that vibrant place!!
Back to the dream. They showed up at their session ready to play. Their kids were ready to play. No smiles were forced. We just walked around together, explored some beautiful color, and had fun with their kids. Who, by the way, were quick to make my acquaintance, as I was greeted w hugs and hand holding as we explored. My heart might have melted a little.

This session has been on my calendar for a while, and since, I’ve seen mom out and about several times! So I was excited to be able to get this family in front of my camera. I wanted a new adventure, and it’s been a while since I’ve photographed in Downtown Hollywood, so we headed down there for some smiles and some fun! These kiddos were much more interested in playing than posing, and that is just fine with me! We came up with lots of play that also created great images that capture this family’s loving energy!

One of the greatest joys as a family photographer is getting to watch a family grow up before your lens. I’ve had the privilege of photographing this family of four, then gender reveal, then newborn family of five, and now annually as baby girl is almost four! It’s always amazing to see them grow and change each year. And you see the physical changes as well as the subtle personality growths. And I hope mom and dad recall these moments fondly, and that they see them too!
