This mitzvah season is the most fun of my career so far. I have worked with many awesome families over the years. This year, my calendar is full of families connected to my Miami Jewish roots. I know this dad from High School, and it’s just so much fun to see people I was a teenager with raising teens of their own!
It’s so much fun getting to document families as they grow. Sammy’s Superhero mitzvah was a few years ago, and now it’s Rachel’s turn! She’s having a FRIENDS themed celebration, so we selected a fun location with coffee to capture the vibe. I’m excited to be working with this awesome family again, and can’t wait to capture more magic with them for the big day!
Photographing a beautiful girl and her family with a majestic animal was nothing short of awe inspiring. The bond these two have is palpable, and it was an honor and a privilege to capture their connection!
This session truly made a vision a reality. This almost teen is into acrobatics and Harry Potter, so we picked the perfect location for both! Sasha is so strong and talented, and these images of her doing her thing are just breathtaking!! I love that her family coordinated and joined in for some photos as well. I can’t wait to see these images come to life again as they are incorporated into the decor for her upcoming Bat Mitzvah reception!
I just got back from Colorado, where I had the privilege of documenting this lovely lady’s Bat Mitzvah. She laughs and has fun so easily and has everyone in her presence laughing and having fun right along with her. She said to me during one of our shoots, “I’m glad someone I know is our photographer so I can be myself.” That was a huge compliment! And I want everyone who steps in front of my camera to feel like they can be themselves, whether you’ve known me your whole life or 5 minutes! As I always say, when you show me your ‘so you’, that is where the magic happens!
