Following the service, guests headed to Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek for a relaxed and lively reception. With perfect weather—rain-free and not too hot—the atmosphere was ideal for unwinding and enjoying the celebration. A variety of food trucks offered delicious options, from tacos and pizza to acai bowls and popsicles. While the boys were busy playing sports, the girls spent time catching up with friends. Guests also had the chance to select custom airbrush clothing pieces, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats, which were personalized live on-site by an artist. An instant camera next to the sign-in book gave everyone a way to add their own memories to the day.

Harrison’s Bar Mitzvah at Congregation Shaarei Kodesh in Boca Raton, FL, was a celebration rich in tradition and meaning. Since photography wasn’t permitted during the Shabbat service, we held a "mock mitzvah" on Sunday to re-enact key moments. This allowed me to capture special photos of Harrison with his family and the Torah, preserving the essence of this milestone.

What made this mitzvah particularly special was my personal connection to Harrison’s family. His dad is the rabbi, and I had the honor of photographing his older brother Avi’s Bar Mitzvah a few years ago. Growing up in USY with Harrison’s parents, it feels profoundly full-circle to witness and document their children’s journeys into adulthood!

Shira’s family hosted an event bursting with thoughtful details and engaging activities. Guests arrived in “sneakers and sparkles,” setting the tone for a night of fun and comfort. The reception featured:

• Play-for-Fun Casino Tables by Royal Casino Events, complete with a ticket economy where winning games earned chances for raffle prizes.

• A vibrant silent disco provided by Sound Off Experience, where guests danced the night away in glowing headphones.

• A talented henna artist and a lively photo booth

• CrepeMaker serving both sweet and savory delights, delectable catering by CJ Black’s, with food expertly served by Party Staffers, and colorful mocktails crafted by PJF Events.

• A heartwarming slideshow highlighting Shira’s journey from childhood to this special day, played on screens throughout the venue.

One of the most touching moments of the evening was the Havdalah ceremony, led by Cantor Sarah playing guitar. As Shabbat came to a close, the family gathered for this beautiful tradition before dancing the hora in celebration.
