Katie and Ethan's B'nai Mitzvah Pre-Shoot at Wynwood Walls

These siblings just celebrated their B'nai Mitzvah this past Shabbat and did such a beautiful job during the service, followed that evening with a celebratory reception.  This family was a pleasure to work with from start to finish.  They all have so much love for each other!  And it's contagious.  I don't think it's possible to be in their presence and not feel warm and happy!  I can't wait to process the photos from the mitzvah, but until then, here are some from our Mitzvah Pre-Shoot together a few months earlier in the colorful Wynwood Walls graffiti art district in Miami.

Jared's Bar Mitzvah Pre-Shoot: Lifestyle Family Photography - Ft Lauderdale Beach

I had so much fun celebrating Jared's Bar Mitzvah with him and his family yesterday!  Here are the photos from his mitzvah pre-shoot in November.  I always love when I get to do a pre-shoot with a mitzvah family.  It's such a great way for us to get to know each other a little better before the big day, and for the family to get comfortable in front of the camera.  Also, we have a lot of fun together, and by mitzvah day, it's like we're old friends!  This family is just full of love and fun, as you can see below, and as I captured last night, and I can't wait to get to work on those images!

Gillian's Mitzvah Pre Shoot

This lovely lady celebrated her Bat Mitzvah this weekend.  She did so with poise and grace, and was surrounded by her family and lots of adoring friends.  We had met some weeks earlier to capture these lovely portraits that adorned the room as decor at her reception.  Mazel Tov to Gillian and her entire family!

Ava's Mitzvah Pre-Shoot with Jordana, Stephen, and Elaine

This sporty gal and her family were so much fun!  Ava loves the camera, and the camera loves her right back.  She loves her family, and they love her right back.  Capturing their spunky interaction against the spunky backdrop of the Wynwood Walls was a perfect fit.  Ava knew what she wanted from the minute I took out my camera to the minute I put it away, and really let her personality shine, which means I got to create images that capture who she truly is.

Cameryn and Carly B'Not Mitzvah Pre-Shoot

I'm so excited to be capturing these girls' B'not Mitzvah next month!  As is often customary, we met for a Pre-Shoot in Downtown Ft Lauderdale to capture some informal images of these girls before their big day.  A Pre-Shoot portrait session is a great way to get some nice images to use as a sign-in book for guests to record congratulatory messages, or to use for decor around the room at the reception.  It's also a great way to develop a rapport with your photographer prior to the event.

We met at one of my favorite urban locations, and Carly and Cameryn brought their camera-ready faces.  We had a blast creating beautiful images together.
