Challenge Fitness First Anniversary

This past Sunday, November 1, 2015, Challenge Fitness celebrated its First Anniversary!  Amy and Jorge are the trainers who lead their clients in Group Personal High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) classes daily.  When Amy and Jorge are in the gym, they are in their element. And when you are privileged enough to work out with them, you're along for the ride. Even if the gym is not your thing, or you're out of shape and think you can't, Amy and Jorge will prove to you that you can. Their enthusiasm is contagious!  Their workouts leave you feeling like you definitely worked out, but not so sore that you can't move the next day. If my timing allowed me to work out with them every day, I absolutely would, and it would never be the same.

Their celebration began with a group workout, followed by hanging out with food trucks, face painting, a bounce house, a gelato cart (don’t worry, we worked off the calories), a tire cake, and a pinata for Amy’s son’s birthday.  A great time was had by all!  Congratulations on your first year, and I wish you the best for many more years to come!

Joni, Adam, Brice, and Rose

I live near the Old Davie School and spontaneously did a photo session there a few months back.  I’ve been itching to return, and finally did so with this wonderful family.  I also officially have permission and paid the photo fee for this location, so I can continue shooting there with anyone who’d like for the next year!  It was a very relaxed atmosphere, which complemented this family’s sweetness perfectly.  We found some great spots for them to hang out, and I snapped away as they enjoyed each others’ company.  A favorite moment is when I asked them to walk towards me, mom and dad were holding hands.  Dad spontaneously kissed mom’s hand, and when I got the photos on the computer, I noticed a butterfly in the frame!  I could not have planned that if I tried!  K family, it was a pleasure photographing you, and I hope to do so again soon!

Heather, Jon, and Jace

I absolutely adore this family.  I’ve photographed them annually since they were a newly married couple, expecting their first child, and now with their adorable son!  They always look well put together, which really translates well for photos.  I’ve had my eye on this photo location for a while, and as much as I love my oft-used favorite venues, I’ve been itching to try some new ones.  Well, Heather was game, so off we went, and I’m SOOOOO glad we did!  We were blessed with incredible light, found some fun spots, and I can’t wait to shoot there, and them, again!

T Siblings: Wynwood Walls Photo Session

These two were just the cutest! Their mom had them styled like little rockers, which went perfectly in this gorgeously urban setting. And these two brought the personalities to match! From a game of rock, paper, scissors to climbing on fences, playing with bubbles, peeking through a mail slot, climbing a bike rack, drawing on the sidewalk, showing their sibling love, and striking a pose, these two just rocked their session! A special thank you to Junior & Hatter for letting us pose with your motorcycle! Mom, I hope you love these images as much as I do, and that you bring me your little ones to photograph again!

Monica, Steve, Victoria, Nico, and Delfina: Wynwood Walls Family Photo Session

It’s great getting to photograph families on a regular basis.  You get to watch them grow, and you also grow in your relationship as photographer and subject.  The subjects become comfortable in front of the camera with you behind it, and the moments you get to capture become more magical.  Wynwood was a perfect location for this family, and we had a great time exploring the area.  I look forward to seeing where our adventures will take us next year!
