NoahCon - Noah's Bar Mitzvah at Ramah Darom Winter Break Family Camp

I had the pleasure of first meeting this mama when we were introduced by a mutual friend at an Andy Grammer concert.  Then I had the pleasure of spending the week with and photographing them at Winter Break Family Camp last year!  So when she said they'd be celebrating Noah's Bar Mitzvah at camp, I was game!

Their celebration started with a Friday night Shabbat dinner, which we preceded by mock mitzvah photos (since photography is not permitted on Shabbat).  The dinner decorations were handmade by one of mom's close friends, and they were amazing.  What a well-executed camp theme!

The 'NoahCon' continued up at camp, where Noah read from the Torah on Shabbat morning, and enjoyed brunch with his family and friends on Sunday!  Mazel Tov to this lovely family, and I can't wait to capture more of your simchas!

Zack and Ty's B'nai Mitzvah

I always love a good Bar Mitzvah.  And a B'nai Mitzvah for brothers is double the fun!  These two boys, who are different both in looks and personalities, were able to celebrate together, but in their own way, and in their own style, and I was happy to be there to capture it all, including one of the most epic games of Coke and Pepsi ever!

Carly and Cameryn's B'not Mitzvah

These lovely sisters were so much fun to work with at their Mitzvah Pre-Shoot, I was excited to capture them on mitzvah day!  We met in the morning to capture some portraits of them before their ceremony at the synagogue with the Torahs, and again in the evening when they celebrated with mostly their friends at a vibrant DJ dance party.  They are both beautiful, poised young ladies who are adored by their friends, and I wish them and their family lots of mazel!

Gillian's Bat Mitzvah

This lovely lady celebrated her Bat Mitzvah on a Shabbat Evening.  I especially loved seeing 3 generations of women light the Shabbat candles together.  I also really enjoyed their involvement in the kiddush.  Gillian's grandparents, parents, and sister all gave their blessings to her over small cups of wine, which were then poured into a larger cup for her to say the prayer for.  The celebration continued with dinner, dancing, and partying with family and friends.  Mazal Tov on your special day!

Taylor's Bat Mitzvah

I loved working with Taylor and her family!  She is such a sweet girl, and her joy was shared by her family, and was evident throughout the entire day, from the portraits at synagogue before services, through the last dance at the reception.

At her celebration, there were several games and special touches that made it one of the most unique I've attended!  Guests were welcomed with a luau theme, and the entire family wore their leis for family formal pictures, which I thought was so cool and fun, and I love the added color.  The cocktail hour started off with airbrush tattoos, table hockey, and a giant game of Operation.  During the party, the kids played Coke and Pepsi, then everyone played a game where they passed a hula hoop while holding hands, and one where Taylor and Dara competed with their friends to see who could hold the most balloons in an oversized shirt!

The night concluded with an amazing s'more's bar and ice cream sundae bar for a sweet ending for a sweet girl on a sweet day!  Mazel Tov, Taylor!
