Two Ice Cream Store Sessions

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing both of these families before, and I can’t believe how much their kids have grown!  These sessions were shot a week apart, but in the busyness of editing holiday sessions, are being blogged together.  I love how every time I photograph at Sloan's, it’s different.  Every family brings their own energy, and notices new things in a different part of this adorable store.  I also love how it literally turns kids and adults alike into a “kid in a candy store”.  Who wouldn’t want pictures of that?!

Alexis and her family started their session indoors, took a break outside, and came back for some sweet treats.

Kristina, Mike, Madison, and Jacob started their session outdoors as the store was busy with customers, and we finished our session with some ice cream in a break from the busyness.

Rachel, Greg, Ellie and Cullen welcome Evelyn

The more I photograph this family, the more I love them!  Photographing families with young children can be an intense hour, but I somehow always leave this family calmer than when I arrived.  Mom and dad are so peaceful with each other and their children that it’s contagious!  They all had plenty of love for new little sister, Evelyn, who definitely has her days and nights straight.  With the exception of a few short cat naps, she was awake, alert, and serene for most of our session.  What a warm welcome into the world and great photo session at 13 days new for this little one, and I hope to continue to get this family in front of my camera as they grow!

Alexis and Manny: South Florida Wedding Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing this couple for an awesome engagement session a few months prior to their wedding day.  As much as I love photographing all wedding couples, I really love photographing a couple for their wedding when we’ve also done engagement photos together, b/c we start the day like old friends.  And having a friend photograph your wedding means they’ll be able to capture more moments that are ‘So You’!  Alexis and Manny were married at the Delray Beach Golf Club, with an indoor ceremony overlooking the lovely golf course, followed by a reception with fun up-lighting that changed color with the music!  There was hora dancing, greek dancing, and plenty of other dancing that didn’t involve circles or lines.  I wish you both a marriage as joyous as your wedding celebration!

Noelle, Steve, Jake, and Max

I had such an amazing shoot at this location the week before, so I was excited when this family agreed to do their shoot there!  We were rewarded with equally beautiful light, and since we had more time, we found a few more great spots for photos.  I absolutely love all 3 boys in ties and how mom dressed them all so they were coordinated without being too matchy-matchy.  I typically strategize with my families on something fun we can do to bring out their candid personalities so I can capture moments that are ‘So You’.  Naturally, I was thrilled when mom said she planned to bring Silly String, and the giant balloons were a bonus!  Despite a few silly string can malfunctions and popped balloons, the family had a great time, and it made for some entertaining photos.

Terry, Tara, Layla, and Luke: Ice Cream Store Photo Session

I previously had the pleasure of working with these wonderful parents, and though we no longer work together in my Engineering career, I’m so glad to be able to continue working with them in my photography career!  Their kids are just the cutest.  We started off our session in the ice cream store with some nice family shots, and when the kids no longer were interested in looking and smiling at the camera, that was just fine with me.  We headed outside to enjoy some of the lovely scenery in the area, and captured some sweet family interactions.  Then, we headed back to the ice cream store to cool off and enjoy some sweet treats!
